Puffy Paint
Julie Hildebrand
School's officially out for summer, and we are on the hunt for all the indoor craft ideas. The Texas heat is pretty miserable for most hours of the afternoon from June through September, so we fill our time with lots of arts and crafts (and goodpops)!
Our first art activity this summer was making our own puffy paint with shaving cream. It's quick, easy, and uses items you'll already have at home.
Materials:
-
Shaving Cream
-
Liquid Glue
-
Food Coloring
-
Sprinkles
-
Printed Clipart Template or Blank Paper
Directions: Mix equal parts shaving cream and liquid glue together. Add food coloring and mix to desired color intensity. Scoop your puffy paint onto printed template or blank paper and lightly spread with a paintbrush. If using, add sprinkles over the top. Let dry over night.
